The newest 1080 42v battery is 25ah vs the 36v 60ah of some batteries for the 300 NK. I’m just concerned that I’m going to run out of juice. Does the controller give an idea of estimated mileage left at “X” output? Thanks Chad.

I think I might wait a little while before I get out there and practice your moves particularly the Dead set sexy pose for the ladies on the beach, LMBO, as its in the middle of winter here in Perth Western Australia and its REALLY Really chilly so much for global warming and because its do damn cold there are no ladies on the beach or the caravan parks. In the mean time I will have a go at getting one of those drag straps seems like a great bit of kit to have just in case.

What would happen if you attached the cord to the opposite side of entering the kayak. Would your foot in the stir up hold the other side down while you enter the opposite side? I don’t have any experience just observing

Luckily I was near the landing and did not have to re-enter my kayak in open water. However, it’s clear that I need to practice re-entry using the techniques you recommended. I'm currently shopping for a new kayak and I am leaning towards the Unlimited. If I put an NK300 on the back for getting from spot to spot, and an Xi3 on the front for anchoring slow trolling. Is it possible/safe to use a 36v 60ah battery (utilizing a 12v step down converter) to run both motors?

Carry a knife... I learned this weekend while my ponytail holder on my braid got stuck on something on my kayak strapped on the side. I literally had to pull my hair out yes out. I couldn't make the band break. Then some people down the river stopped me. I just didn't panick. I went under gained my direction and pushed kayak w a huge shove up and I went down to come out. Then realized I was stuck by my hair. Handfuls wouldn't come out so it was work. I just hold onto my kayak and worked ripping my hair out to get loose. I got loose just as the guys got me stopped in the rushing water. My daughter was freaking out and I just told her to calm down and go down river and let the people on the bank know I was coming I needed stopped. Of course didn't catch this moment on video lol

Don’t have a sit on top, have a short bed and a short yak. I have a pelican intrepid and I have a damn hard time finding a place to tie down the front of my yak. At the moment I have to run a strap through the bungies on the top of the boat. It’s either the front handle or the bungies. Any recommendations for a tie down spot? I feel like it’s a simple solution that I’m making harder through frustration 😂

I always check out my water on Google earth before I go, always with a new place and sometimes with known ones too. You can gage depth as well as pick out creek channels from that sat imagery

It will continue to happen as these video fisherman have all the recorded proof and never follow up or through...so those that follow are left to deal as the harrasers feel emboldened and escalate...thank you

I have never thought to tie it to the spool out of the reel like that. Especially tie the knot and then put the spool through it. I’ve been struggling with putting the line in the openings and trying to reel it around.

I was stalked by a 14 foot gator once , I had a tent set up at night and was fishing off the high bank and it was slowly climbing up the bank straight at me , I had no food or fish with me , so I know for a fact it was after me

I just graduated from the bank to a kayak and I generally always use braid to leader from the bank with exception for my bait casting top water rod,I had it with straight mono but I had a bad experience with a huge plopper bass yesterday and you ant kiddin about how managing the crazy slack that's created when fishin from a yak, I lost horribly because of this and I'm spoolin up with braid as I write this. A person don't have nearly the control over a big one on a yak as you do from the bank. Great advice man!

You can actually hook that strap on the other side and bring it under the kayak and then you got a counter balance and a boost so the boats not rolling into your face.
